Current Fundamental Concerns

Important Things Learned:
Numerous criticisms have been made of standardized tests and the way that they are administered, but perhaps the most important critical claim is that standardized tests do not measure critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and other similar important aspects of intelligence.  ("What is High-Stakes Testing?")

Surprising Things Learned:
I guess I always have had this thought in the back of my mind but another part of my needs those assessment for data driven instruction.  I agree that one test, example; state assessment, isn't the best way to measure students ability of a learned concept but we need this to support data driven instruction.

Questions:
What will standardized tests look like 20 years from now?
Will educators use the same method have currently have?
How come educators are not asking the students about a certain test?
